There are two types of sequence -
Go to "All leads" view.
Choose the field “Active sales sequence” with "Name of the sequence" and “Email status” as "Bounced" in the filters.
This may be due to an external SMTP restriction in gmail or outlook, that is hindering emails being sent through Freshsales. Although there are two entries being displayed in gmail or outlook, the email would have been sent only once.
Since you re-activated the sequence on day 4, the second step on day 3 will get skipped because the records are currently in day 4 and so, day 5 emails will get executed. The best practice is to check the current status of the lead / contact and then change the date of execution accordingly, while deactivating or re-activating the sequence.
Once the sales sequence. is cloned, the “From Address” will be set to blank. This needs to be changed to send emails.
In general, classic sequence will run on a daily basis excluding the weekend, and the records matching with the entry condition will enter into the sequence, but the 2nd step which is on day 6 will get executed only for those records which reach day 6.
The first step of the smart sequence will be executed on the current day if the scheduled time has not passed the created time. For eg. If the sequence is created at 2 PM today, and the scheduled time is 4 PM, then the first step will get executed today, as the scheduled time has not passed yet.
However, if the sequence was scheduled to run at 4 PM every 3 days, and the time of setting up of the schedule is 6 PM, then the sequence will be executed only after 3 days.
Template #2 emails will be sent, as even if the sequence is inactive, the day counter will keep running.
You can multi-select the contact records and click on Add to sequence and choose a sequence from the list. Regarding the entry condition, you can set up any dummy condition like “keyword is in XYZ” so that other contacts will not match the set condition. Additionally, you can also select saved views while creating a sequence. This will add all leads that were filtered and saved to a view to a particular sequence.
You will be able to add contacts to the active sequence. If the sequence is inactive, you cannot add contacts manually to the sequence.
Go to import history. You can view the records that were recently imported. Select the checkboxes of leads that have to be added to a sales sequence. Enter the name of the sequence that you want to add the records to and add them to the sequence.
Alternatively, you can bulk select the leads from the leads module and add them to the particular sequence.
Check if the option chosen while sharing is Just me or other users. Also, if the user is allowed to share only to the team members he is a part of, and you are not part of that team, then this is the right behavior.
