Anyone who actively responds to your calls, emails or tries out the product qualifies as a contact.
In most cases, once a lead responds to your follow up activities, you convert them to a contact. But, it can differ based on your sales process.
Territories are lead-specific and can't be created for contacts. Whenever a new lead enters Freshsales, the lead is matched against conditions set in place for territories. Whenever a territory condition is matched, the lead is assigned accordingly.
You can navigate to Admin settings > General settings > Roles. Select the respective roles and uncheck the contact module (View, Create, Edit and Delete) and save the settings. This ensures that the users assigned to the role cannot access the contacts module. The contact module will disappear for them.
To clone a contact,
Click a contact to visit the contact’s details page and click the three dots on the right.
Choose the Clone option.
In the Clone contact overlay, edit the desired fields.
Hit Save when you’re done.
The contact is added as a new lead and can be found in the Contacts list view page.
