Notes are crucial in helping jot down details about contacts and deals and maintain details for future reference. However, collaborating through notes along the customer’s lifecycle helps make informed decisions. Freshsales allows users to tag individual stakeholders or teams to a lead, contact, account, or deal and invite them to participate in relevant discussions. This helps users engage in focused and contextual discussions within Freshsales instead of relying on external platforms.


Inviting users to a discussion

Include additional stakeholders on any contact or deal teams using @mention in notes. Type “@” in the body of a note to bring up all users and teams present on your Freshsales account. Select the user you wish to notify, type out the rest of the message, and click Add. The user in the note will receive a notification. If a deal team is tagged, all members within the deal team will receive a notification. Additionally, every time a note is updated, the user mentioned in the note will receive a notification. In addition to notes on contacts or deals, you can also mention users from notes in tasks, sales activities, and call logs.


Accessing notes to collaborate

When tagged to a note, you will receive a notification that invites you to participate in the conversation. Click the notification to access the details page of the contact or deal and respond to the conversation.
