Lead score helps you identify and prioritize the leads you should be engaging with. This video shows you how to configure a lead score for your business.

To configure lead score,

  1. Login to Freshsales as an Administrator.
  2. Click Admin settings > Automation > Lead Score Customization.
  3. You can define how to segment leads based on the Lead quality—hot, warm or cold leads using the slider.
  4. You can find some default rules already set in the application. You can choose to either delete or edit them, or just add new ones.
  5. You can score leads by the Lead property, Email activity, Application activity and Web activity

Scoring by Lead property

For setting the lead property rule, you need to select the field, choose a condition and then enter the value. This table explains the different conditions for lead field properties.

To set lead property rules,

  1. Click the Add rule button.
  2. Select a lead field from the drop down.
  3. Choose a condition from the drop down.
  4. Depending on the selected lead field, you'd need to enter the value or select the value from the drop down.
  5. Choose to add or subtract points to this rule from the drop down, and enter a single or two digit value as the score.
  6. Click Save

Since the scores also apply for contacts, you need to set rules for lead fields that are similar to fields in contacts, accounts and deals. So any custom field configured for leads should be mapped to the custom fields for contacts, accounts and deals for the rules to be applied for contacts.

    3. Last 30 days - The lead opened or clicked the email in the last 30 days, after which the score is subtracted.
