Before you buy a phone number


You need to enable the built-in phone by requesting for one. To do so:

  1. Login to Freshsales as an administrator.
  2. Go to Admin Settings > Email and Phone > Phone Settings.
  3. Click Request for Phone button.


       

4. Your request will be taken care of within 2 business days by the Freshsales support team.


To buy a phone number: 


Once your built-in phone feature is enabled, you need to purchase phone numbers to make and receive calls in Freshsales. 

Here’s how you do it,

  1. Login to Freshsales as an administrator.
  2. Go to Admin Settings > Email and Phone > Phone Settings.
  3. Click Buy number.
  4. You can choose to buy a Local number in your country and charge customers when they call or buy a Toll-free number and bear incoming call charges. Select one of the two tabs.


Local number

  1. Local numbers are currently available in 43 countries.
  2. Select the country and the corresponding state (in case of US) where you want your local number to be available in.
  3. You can also use the search box on the right to find numbers that have specific digits.
  4. Choose a number from the list of numbers displayed in the results and click Buy.
  5. A confirmation dialog box with the cost of the number appears. Click Buy to complete the purchase.
Note:  Some countries, have additional requirements (valid address) and documents that you’d need to submit to purchase a number.


Toll-free number

  1. Purchase your dial-in toll free numbers from any one of these 4 countries -  The United States of America, The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
  2. Select the country and the extension of the toll-free number that you like to use.
  3. Use the search box to find numbers with specific digits.
  4. Choose a number from the list of numbers displayed in the results and click Buy.
  5. A confirmation dialog box with the cost of the number appears. Click Buy to complete the purchase.

After buying the phone number

The Make a call button seen on the Quick Actions Bar is used to make a call from anywhere in Freshsales.

Check if it is enabled,



If not, you need to configure your phone settings, i.e assign your number:

1. Go to Admin Settings > Email and Phone > Phone Settings. The list of all the purchased numbers appears. 

2.Check if you have selected a user/territory in the 'Assign to' dropdown. 


Ex: Say you manage business in three different countries. Each country would be managed by a specific group of sales agents. The 'Assign to' dropdown, lets you assign all sales agents of a single territory/ all users/ a single user to a specific number.



The phone widget appears at the bottom of your Freshsales account. It has: 


Once this widget appears, your built-in phone is active. Go ahead and make calls.


You are charged for every number you purchase and calls you make. To ensure uninterrupted phone service recharge your credits.
